Where the child is at the heart

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our School website which we hope you will find interesting and informative! It offers only a glimpse of life at school and so we invite you to visit us, ask questions and experience the friendly atmosphere and positive ethos of Viscount Beaumont’s.

Please tour the SITE MAP to find out more about us.

At Viscount Beaumont’s, there is no limit placed on what our children can achieve. Through vibrant and relevant experiences, children at Viscount Beaumont’s are given every opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding which prepares them for life in a diverse and changing world.

Within the love of God, children and families, with or without faith and belief, are welcomed and celebrated in our community. Christian values of love, care, sharing, forgiveness, trust, tolerance, peace, respect and thankfulness, allow no social or cultural divide.

Strong Links - Community
Viscount Beaumont’s is set in an idyllic environment in the heart of Coleorton village. Strong links exist between the whole school community - children, teachers, parents, governors, local clergy and residents. By working together, we aim to support your child in enjoying their time at our school and have memorable experiences, while they are learning. We actively encourage parents and carers to be become involved with the education of their child and have developed good lines of communication to support this.

Church of England Primary School - SIAMs 'Outstanding' 2015
As a Church of England Primary School, Christian values are at the heart of our community: Love, care, sharing, forgiveness, trust, tolerance, peace, respect and thankfulness all shape and guide our work and play, together. We share a desire to celebrate and nurture the uniqueness of every single person, treat others as you would expect to be treated yourself, and to celebrate fairness for all. We share a vision of supporting each child to build a secure foundation of ‘values’ for their lives. Every time we talk with a parent or carer, it is a reminder of the privilege we have in contributing to the life of their child, not just academically, but in all aspects of their development.
Ofsted
The school culture begins with the needs of the child and reaches out towards the family and to the future. Our aim is that Viscount Beaumont’s Primary School is a learning community where education is viewed enthusiastically and children want to learn. We have high expectations of our children both educationally and socially and a firm commitment to raising standards of achievement. In October 2012, we are proud to report that Ofsted judged our school as ‘Good’ for overall effectiveness.

Please review our News and Dates page for forthcoming events.

Warm Weather
Please do remember to send your child with a hat - but no sunglasses please.

Click here to view our recent SIAMS Report......'Outstanding'

School Meals
Please let the office know if your child requires school meals. Remember – for Class 1 and Class 2 these meals are provided free of charge.

Severe Weather
In the event of severe weather, parents are asked to listen to BBC Radio Leicester 104.9 FM or look at the website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/leicester/hi/ for information about whether the school is closed. It’s very important that parents do not telephone the school directly as this jams the phone line at a time when it is critical it remains clear for staff.

Headlice
We have a problem with headlice in school at the moment. Please could you check your child’s hair regularly and treat all the family if required, so that we can prevent this spreading throughout school.

Volunteers in School
If you would be able to spare some time, however short, please do let the office know.

Please see our News page for recent letters.

Letters
For copies of letters emailed to Parents, please visit the 'News' page.

Club Activ8
By taking part in PE in school, each child receives 23 points each week which can then be used as part/full payment at our local leisure facilities. Your child will earn extra points if they take part in any other sport clubs at school. There are lots of different activities the children could take part in, from Swimming, trampolining to badminton. If you have lost your child’s card, just ask at one of the Leisure Centres (Hood Park, hermitage, Measham) and they will replace it for free.
