PTFA 

Viscount Beaumont’s PTFA is a group of parents, teachers and friends who organise and run social and fundraising events through the year. We meet every few months to plan and arrange events and with the help of parents who kindly volunteer their time, we run many events. We are a friendly and welcoming group, and we really enjoy what we do. We are always very happy to welcome new parents and value their contribution. 

 
Our approach to fundraising is to raise money through arranging events or services which our children, parents and carers can enjoy, we never just ask for money. Our regular events include our wonderful Summer Fair, two whole school discos per year, annual leaver’s disco, after school Scoot & Skate, and our very popular weekly Friday afternoon tuckshop. Other events include free Breakfast with Santa and an Easter egg hunt with free gifts for each school pupil. We also arrange personalised items such as Christmas cards which children can design themselves and you can buy with all profits going to our PTFA fund.  

 
The money raised by the PTFA throughout the year is all given back to our children in ways to enhance their school experience. This enables us to make school trips and activities more affordable for all the parents. 

We give back in so many ways including the funding of school trips, buses for swimming lessons, free leaver’s hoodies and purchasing specialist equipment for the school like LifeVac.  

We contribute every year to the transport cost for a whole school trip to the Panto at Loughborough and we also provide a free sweet treat to each child. 

 
How can you get involved? 

We realise that here at Viscount Beaumont’s we have a diverse mix of parents who can bring different experiences, ideas and have different talents and skills. We believe that everyone has something to offer from 30 mins of your time at one of our events, to making cakes, to helping with event promotion, to running a stall, to putting up a gazebo, to clearing away at the end of the event. There are so many ways you can contribute and get involved. 

Our PTFA is a friendly and welcoming bunch always on the lookout for new recruits to join our team. It’s a fantastic way to get involved in school life, meet other parents, and make new friends. Whether you have a little time to spare or a lot, your contribution will make a big difference
