PTFA

Viscount Beaumont’s PTFA is a group of parents, teachers and friends who organise and run social and fundraising events through the year. We meet every few months to plan and arrange events and with the help of parents who kindly volunteer their time, we run many events. We are a friendly and welcoming group and we really enjoy what we do. We are always very happy to welcome new parents and value their contribution.
Our approach to fundraising is to raise money through arranging events or services which our children, parents and carers can enjoy, we never just ask for money. Our regular events include our wonderful Summer Fair, the whole school disco, after school Scoot & Skate, and refreshments for the School Cross Country event. Other recent events include ‘A Night of Magic’, Chocolate Bingo and after school Film nights. We also arrange personalised items such as Christmas cards which children can design themselves and you can buy with all profits going to our PTFA fund.
The money raised by the PTFA throughout the year is all given back to our children in ways to enhance their school experience. We give back in so many ways including funding of school trips and parties, commemorative and seasonal gifts for the children and the purchase of specialist equipment including the interactive white boards now in all classrooms.  We regularly pay for the transport for a whole school trip to the Panto at Loughborough.
How you can get involved ?
We realise that here at Viscount Beaumont’s we have a diverse mix of parents who can bring different experiences and ideas and have different talents and skills. We believe that everyone has something to offer from 30 mins of your time at a meeting, to making cakes, to helping with event promotion, to running a stall, to putting up a gazebo, to clearing away at the end of the event. There are so many ways you can contribute and get involved.
You are very welcome to attend any of our meetings and we put the dates on the school newsletter and normally send a text reminder too.
