Viscount Beaumont's

C of E Primary School

All can participate; all can enjoy, all can achieve.

Our life together is shaped by the Fruit of the Spirit, which is: ‘…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.’ Galatians Chapter 5:22-23

The School Day

Our current day...2020/21

With the current restrictions in place, the school day looks slightly different to previous years. We have a staggered start, end and breaktimes.

Dropping off:  Gates open at 8:40am and close at 8:50am.  We ask all children in R/1, 5/6 to arrive first then at 8:45am children in Y2/3/4 should arrive (unless there are siblings in the other year groups).

Picking up:  Gates open at 3pm and close at 3:10pm.  In the same way as the morning, we stagger the pick up at 3pm and 3:05pm (Y2/3/4).

During the morning session: Children will have Maths and English lessons. These will involve phonics or reading sessions.  They will have the opportunity to have a break where they can have their snack. This is supplied free of charge for children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 and children can bring in their own snack in years 3-6.

Lunchtime: All children have a 50 minute lunchtime.  During this time, they eat in the school hall where they eat either packed lunch or a hot school dinner.  Check out the lunchtime page for further details.

During the afternoon session:  Children will learn a range of subjects during their afternoon sessions.  Every afternoon, children take part in Collective Worship which includes a celebration of Viscount Values every week.

Wrap-around care: We currently offer before and after school care. Please look at the wrap-around page for further details.
