The school fully recognises the contribution it can make to protect children and support  pupils in school. The aim of the policy is to safeguard and promote our pupil's welfare,  safety and health by fostering an honest, open, caring and and supportive climate. Our  pupil's welfare is of paramount importance. 

All the children know they can talk to any 'trusted adult' in school and also know that Mrs Westaby and Mrs Ryder Smith are the 'Safeguarding Team'.  If you have any worries or concerns about a child then please contact us to talk.

We are very proud that we have completed the NSPCC 'Speak Out, Stay Safe' lessons and assemblies at Viscount Beaumont's. All the children know that we are here to keep them safe and they can talk to any one at school as a 'Trusted adult'. Around school, you will spot bright yellow boxes that children know they can share their worries in for their teachers to read.

We are proud supporters of 'Safer Internet Day' which helps teach children to keep safe online.
